Learning outcomes

  • Distinguish attention heat, intentional taps, and accidental contact on dense mobile layouts.
  • Set sampling floors before recommending layout moves.
  • Write decision memos that separate observation, interpretation, and bet.
  • Facilitate a 45-minute critique without collapsing into taste debates.

Modules

  1. Overlay literacy — What each vendor paints, and what pixels never mean.
  2. Tap density with context — Session length, device class, and interrupted flows.
  3. Scrollmaps without hero worship — Fold myths and content sequencing.
  4. Rage, dead, and hesitation signals — Triangulating with support tickets.
  5. Thai & regional pattern lab — Banking, delivery, and lifestyle screens.
  6. Readout rehearsal — Presenting to PMs and eng without overclaiming.

Reviews from Studio learners

Module five’s regional pattern lab mirrored the payment sheet we ship. Finally a critique that did not import a U.S. retail checklist wholesale.

Krit · product manager, Bangkok

Strong facilitation. I still wish the homework allowed more time between live sessions — our eng calendar made Module 4 rushed.

FAQ

Do I need a specific heatmap vendor?

No. Exports from common session tools work. We focus on reading habits that transfer. Vendor UI tips appear as footnotes, not requirements.

Is this only for designers?

No. Mixed rooms of research, product, and analytics learn faster. Pure engineering cohorts are available on request.

What is a real limitation of this course?

We do not teach statistical modeling beyond practical sampling floors. If you need experimental design for multivariate tests, pair Studio with a dedicated experimentation program — we will say so in Module 2 rather than pretend the overlay is enough.

Are sessions recorded?

Live cohort recordings remain available for 90 days to enrolled learners. Critique breakout rooms are not recorded to keep discussion candid.
